02 · Why it matters
Missing points lose slower than partial ones.
A missing slide is at least honest: the investor asks about it, you answer. A partial point is worse. The slide exists, so the question never gets asked, and the doubt just quietly joins the vote against you. Most rejections founders read as bad luck are unresolved partial marks.
The checker does not stop at the label. Each flagged point comes with the committee finding behind it, so you know whether your market slide failed for lack of a bottom-up build or because the wedge was too wide to believe.

04 · FAQ
Checker questions.
What does a pitch deck checker actually check?
Not spelling. PitchScan checks the 12 arguments investors verify before taking a meeting: problem, solution, market build, product proof, traction, business model, unit economics, competition, moat, team, financial plan, and the ask. Each is marked covered, partial, or missing based on what your slides actually demonstrate.
What does a partial mark mean?
Partial means the slide exists but the argument does not close. A market slide with only a top-down TAM is partial. A team slide that lists titles without relevant proof is partial. Partial marks are the most dangerous, because the founder believes the point is covered while the investor does not.
Does any deck cover all 12 points?
Almost never on a first pass, and that is fine. At pre-seed, investors expect traction and unit economics to be thin. What kills decks is not a missing point, it is a missing point the founder does not know about. The checker exists to remove that surprise.
How is this different from a pitch deck template?
A template tells you which slides to include. The checker verifies whether each slide actually proves its point. You can follow a perfect template and still get 12 partial marks, because structure is not evidence.
